My services bridge the gap between intuitive wisdom and integrative science

  • Clinical herbal consultation

In this 1.5 hour intake session, we review your entire health history, including previous diagnosis and recent lab work. We’ll discuss your current symptoms, health experiences and how vibrant health would feel and look like for YOU. After our meeting, I create a comprehensive protocol for you. This includes a custom herbal formula, lifestyle support, food recommendations, supplements and resources. I may order additional lab testing if necessary. All supplements will be ordered through Fullscript.

After our initial session, I will be available via email for any questions or concerns. I will respond to you within a 48-hour timeframe. A follow-up appointment will be scheduled to discuss how the protocol is going for you, and to continue to modify the plan to your needs.

Herbal medicines, whole food nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices are at the core of my practice. While I also suggest supplements, and recommend certain functional labs, I believe the root of vibrant health lies in being well nourished, having supportive daily practices and developing relationship with the earth, and your own body, through working with plant medicines daily. You can read more about herbs and herbal medicines vs. supplements below in my FAQ section.

You can add on a medical astrology reading to dive even deeper into the cosmic influences of your health patterns. Medical astrology readings are not predictive, or psychic readings. This is a review of your natal chart to explore common themes and patterns that tend to appear in life, and how these may be impacting your current state of health.

  • Astrology & medical astrology readings

These readings are a holistic review of your astrological birth chart, or where all the planetary influences landed at the time of your birth. Birth charts (or natal charts) are like a cosmic blueprint for what themes & planetary energies influence us throughout our life. These natal chart readings can be illuminating as to why we tend to have similar experiences, or patterns, repeat themselves. These readings are not predictive, rather they explore the themes of our inherent nature.

I offer both general astrology readings, which explore themes in life, love, relationships, work, etc., and medical astrology readings which explore how our birth chart shows us our predispositions to themes or challenges in our health journey. You can choose which you’d like to focus on, although I do tend to weave a bit of both together in my readings.

FAQs

  • Yes, definitely! I have extensive training on herb/drug interactions, and safety is one of my highest priorities in my practice. Also, I offer nutritional guidance and lifestyle practices in my protocols that are inherently interaction-free.

  • Yes, and yes. I have worked with people experiencing ADHD, ADD, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, OCD, etc. Herbs are extremely supportive of our nervous system and emotional health. There are, of course, herb/drug interactions with nervous system affecting herbs and medications, but all that is taken into consideration when meeting and developing your custom protocol.

  • Working with herbal medicines is a slow and steady process. Many herbs you may feel an impact from immediately, however it’s important to recognize that herbs work at the root level in your body, on multiple systems at the same time. So while you may feel an immediate effect from an herb, you also may not, but that doesn’t mean it’s “not doing anything” for you. Herbs work best when we develop consistency with them, and work with them daily over a period of weeks, or even months. Also, every herb is different just as every body is different, so of course your experience working with an herb may look and feel different than another person’s experience.

  • Herbs are simply plants that hold medicinal value and have been traditionally used to treat health conditions. Herbal medicines and supplements are both valuable but very different. A supplement generally is one vitamin, mineral or micronutrient i.e. vitamin C, magnesium, quercetin. An herbal medicine is a preparation of an entire plant that contains dozens of active compounds, vitamins and minerals. For example, a nettle leaf infusion contains vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, quercetin, etc. While I recommend both herbal medicines and supplements in my practice, herbal medicines are the focus point because they are so rich in medicinal action, and can support multiple organs/organ systems/parts of the body at once.

  • Functional lab tests are different kinds of testing that are generally outside of the allopathic medicine model. These functional tests tend to go very deep in reviewing one body system/process. For example, one test I frequently run is the GI MAP, which is an extensive gut health panel. Another is a DUTCH test, which is a comprehensive hormone health review. These tests can be extremely illuminating as to what is really happening in the body.

Testimonials

  • After meeting with me, Rabia customized a protocol for me. As we were going over it she took the time to teach me the science behind all of it. What I appreciate about this customized protocol is that it’s easy to follow and easily became habits. After a week of following the protocol Rabia made for me I started to notice changes in myself. I was sleeping better and had more energy through the day and of course a better mood too. After a month of following it people around me started to notice and comment on my weight loss and overall glow. This is the first time in my life where I am losing weight in a healthy way and I am endlessly grateful for that. I’ve also found a new appreciation and love for taking care of myself and my health. It started with new healthy habits from Rabia’s protocol for me but it’s now trickled into other parts of my life as well.

  • I met with Rabia when I was struggling with hives and allergic and inflammatory reactions. For the initial consultation, she reviewed my symptoms, health history and lifestyle. She formulated specialty teas, ointments and recommendations based on our meeting. In addition to herbal remedies, she has extensive knowledge of supplements and nutrition. We met several times throughout my healing where she compassionately guided me in improving my overall health.
